Alaga 360 Question: Can we meet you?
Ambrose Answer: My name is Prince Ambrose Ahmed.
Alaga 360 Question: We understand you are the organiser of the first Amuwo Odofin LGA and Oriade LCDA Political Summit. What inspired it?
Ambrose Answer: I was deeply concerned about the stagnation of our party, the visible divisions, lingering grievances, and the gradual decline in its influence and cohesion. It was clear to me that these issues needed urgent attention, and rather than waiting for someone else to act, I chose to take the initiative to bring people together. The summit was born out of a desire to foster dialogue, rebuild unity, and set a new direction for progress within the party.
Question : How have you been able to carry the leaders along in buying into this vision?
Answer: Indeed, I have actively engaged both the party leaders and its broader leadership. Upon identifying the core issues, I personally visited 78 leaders and stakeholders at their residences. During these visits, I presented my findings and outlined a comprehensive plan to bring the party together in a forum where we can collectively deliberate on the challenges and seek sustainable solutions.
Question : What do you expect from the participants, and what is the next step after the summit?
Answer: I expect every participant to fully commit to the process. It is imperative that everyone contributes by expressing their concerns and grievances openly, while also putting forward thoughtful recommendations and practical solutions. The aim is to ensure that our collective efforts serve the party’s greater good. Following the summit, we will consolidate these contributions into actionable steps to drive meaningful progress.
Closing Remarks:
Alaga 360: We are so pleased to have had the opportunity to speak with you for this interview.
