The Oyo State branch of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has labeled some APC leaders who have praised Governor Seyi Makinde as self-serving.
According to reports, the APC issued this warning after some party members had previously applauded Makinde for doing what they saw as best for the state.
However, in a statement made on Wednesday by its Publicity Secretary, Wasiu Olawale Sadar, the party vowed to discipline members who support Makinde, calling the scenario a disgraceful conduct.
Sadare added that every APC member is required to back the party’s bid to take over the state in 2027.
The party investigated and discovered that several APC leaders are actually working for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

He stated, “But for selfishness and poor orientation borne out of indiscipline and myopia, no reasonable member of the APC would turn himself into a propaganda machine for the current PDP administration, which has mortgaged the future of unborn generations by wasting enormous resources on frivolities and inanity in the last six years.
“We found the conduct of the culpable people to be exceedingly repulsive and irresponsible in light of the fact that they both claimed to be chieftains of our great party up until the present moment.
“We have done our diligence and established that those who parade themselves as APC chieftains and still work for PDP in recent times have no reasons to engage in such shameful acts but we would engage them as democrats since some school of thoughts are of the opinion that they were either misinformed or misrepresented.”
