Mile 2 Estate, Lagos – In a strategic effort to promote unity and enhance political engagement, Engr. Dr. Comrade Valentine Oluwaseyi Buraimoh convened a high-level peace and reconciliation meeting with youth leaders and stakeholders in Mile 2 Estate, Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area.
The atmosphere was charged with optimism as Buraimoh passionately appealed for peace among the youth, urging them to put aside their differences and embrace a collective vision for progress. He emphasized the critical role young people play in shaping the future of the community and encouraged them to actively participate in the democratic process by voting for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming local government elections scheduled for July 12, 2025.
The well-attended event was spearheaded by prominent youth mobilizers including Comrade Godwin Ayangbe, John Akinwunmi Tade, Afeez, Ayinde, Tayo, Scaboro, Robert (Area), and several others, whose commitment to grassroots advocacy has significantly contributed to community development.
Also in attendance was Prince Lanre Sanusi (PLS), the APC Chairmanship Candidate for Amuwo Odofin LGA. Addressing the gathering, Sanusi delivered a message of hope, assuring the youths that his leadership would usher in a new era of inclusive governance, economic empowerment, and sustainable development.
“We are building a future where every young person has a voice, an opportunity, and a stake in the progress of Amuwo Odofin,” Sanusi stated. “This begins with peace, unity, and purposeful leadership.”
The meeting concluded with a united call to action for peace and civic responsibility, reaffirming the shared belief that only through collaboration and visionary leadership can lasting transformation be achieved in the community.
With growing momentum ahead of the July elections, the engagement signals renewed confidence in the APC’s vision for Amuwo Odofin and the pivotal role of youth in driving that vision forward.
