As a concerned resident and stakeholder in Amuwo Odofin LGA, it is my duty to set the record straight for those who may not fully grasp the facts: Festac Town residents have benefitted immensely from the policies and programmes of the progressives — now known as the APC.
For over two decades, the progressive family — from AD to AC, ACN and now APC — has consistently delivered meaningful development and critical infrastructure that have transformed our community for the better.
The evidence speaks for itself:
✅ Construction of 21 Road (from I Close to the end of 311 Road)
✅ Completion of 401 Road
✅ Construction of 512 Road to the end
✅ Construction of 322 Road from the beginning to Barbados
✅ Building of new classrooms in all Festac Town primary schools
✅ Reconstruction of the Link Bridge after the fire disaster, plus compensation to affected car dealers
✅ Building of the Mother and Child Maternity at First Gate
✅ Construction of the Mini General Hospital at 41 Road
✅ Dualization of the Link Bridge to 2nd Rainbow
✅ Construction of the Flyover across the Oshodi-Apapa Expressway
✅ Establishment of the 23 Road Market
✅ Development of the Maza Maza Market
✅ Building of the 1st Gate Shopping Mall
✅ Over 20 years of free NECO examinations for our children
✅ Construction of the High Court and Magistrate Court
✅ Provision of Trains and BRT buses for commuters
✅ Roadworks on 21 Road, 31 Road, 11 Road and 1st Avenue (by Domino’s, both sides)
✅ Vocational training for 10,000 youths
These achievements are not mere promises, but visible projects and impactful policies that have improved lives and enhanced the value of Festac Town.
It is for this reason that I am confident that our people understand what true development means — and will continue to stand with the APC, whose record is proven and whose vision is clear.
Unlike parties without any track record or structure, the progressive movement has consistently demonstrated action, not just words. The political evolution that brought us here cannot be rubbished by parties like the Labour Party, whose only legacy is noise and empty propaganda.
We know where we were, we know where we are, and we know where we are going — and we choose progress over empty slogans!
Let us remain steadfast and ensure that the work continues. Together, we will consolidate the gains and build an even better Festac Town and Amuwo Odofin LGA.
Signed,
Adm. Fadairo Olawunmi Jamiu, MCIA
