Malam Aminu Ibrahim Ringim, the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) gubernatorial candidate in Jigawa State’s 2023 general election, has vowed to expose the state’s former Governor, Sule Lamido, for allegations made against him in his recently released autobiography.
Lamido’s autobiography, “Being True to Myself,” covers political and transitional events in Nigeria from the end of the Second Republic and military intervention to the start of the Fourth Republic.
Ringim, speaking at the party’s rally in Taura Local Government Area on Wednesday, accused Lamido of twisting facts and misrepresenting his political background.
According to the NNPP chieftain, Lamideo accused former President Goodluck Jonathan of arresting his son, Abdulsalam Abubakar, and Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, among others, for purported injustice.
Ringim also disputed Lamido’s argument that the PDP lost the gubernatorial election in 2015 because the candidate was bitter and wicked.

He stated, “In the book, Lamido depicts himself as a trustworthy leader who has never mistreated anyone during his political career, which is far from the truth.
“Lamido is not being fair to himself or his political partners because a number of assertions are false and must be corrected.
“He claimed that the PDP failed in the election because all of my political allies deserted me during the 2015 national election, when I ran as their gubernatorial candidate.
“To be clear, the former governor understands his part in the PDP’s loss of the election, despite its strength and acceptance in the state.
“I know everything about you, from your political career to your personal life. If you continue to malign me, I may be forced to publish details that will bring you public embarrassment.”
