Grammy-nominated Nigerian singer Yemi Alade has claimed that Cool FM and Clout Africa are blocking her music from being broadcast since she was unable to attend their event.

The musician, who is well-known for her song “Johnny,” expressed her worries on X (previously Twitter), saying that her tracks have been removed from their platforms.

She mentioned that since she chose not to attend their event, she has been on a blacklist for a year.
She claims that despite apologizing over the phone and over SMS, no one responded.

In her tweets, she accused Cool FM and Clout Africa of being unresponsive and unduly rigid.

In multiple tweets, Alade vented her annoyance, claiming that the stations and their executives were unhappy with her absence.

She wrote:

“Godspeed to your entire station, @cloutafrica @CoolFMNigeria. You should stop creating gatekeepers and removing my songs. We will meet in front of God, who will be my label and management. Fake individuals who feel like miniature gods.

I don’t discover difficulties, O. However, with their Ogas that resemble operations, @CoolFMNigeria and @cloutafrica remind us that life is a marathon, not a sprint. Light up your eyeballs 👀.

“Una dey carry person for mind …. shameful, very shameless @cloutafrica and @CoolFMNigeria for 1 year.”

“Please remove my whole discography from your stations, @CoolFMNigeria and @cloutafrica. God, please continue to feed me. For a whole year, you are at odds with an artist over your event. I also didn’t go. I contacted your oga and apologized, but he didn’t even return my SMS.

Since December 2023 of last year, they have been carrying beef. @CoolFMNigeria and @cloutafrica through December 2024 … Keep that beef 🙏🏾 abeg, and may God keep us alive. CRAZY FAKE PEOPLE. BADBELLE IS PERMITTED.

“My group and I have visited with presidents and other world leaders. If there is an issue, we fix it, but @CoolFMNigeria and @cloutafrica say they don’t forgive for the free show.”
