Under the auspices of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, supporters of former Kano State Governor Rabi’u Kwankwaso claim that the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) zoned the presidency to Southern Nigeria due to the conviction in a single Nigeria.
Habeeb Saleh, the Movement’s National Coordinator, made this claim on Monday during an interview with Arise Television.
He asserts that Nigerians must have faith in the party and all of its political candidates to consistently prioritize the nation’s interests.
“Believing in a single Nigeria is the result of zoning the NDC presidency to the South.” However, the reality is that choices are made that would inevitably bring about stability for all Nigerians.
“That choice must be one that will foster mutual understanding and trust among us.
Therefore, the NDC argues that all Nigerians must be on the same page in order to justify allocating this presidency to the South. Additionally, they must have faith that the party and all of its members are acting in Nigeria’s best interests, he stated.
