The team representing Nollywood actress Ngozi Nwosu has appealed for continued prayers as the veteran star remains on the road to recovery following surgery several months ago.
In a statement released on social media, the team disclosed that Nwosu underwent surgery more than three months ago but encountered unexpected complications during her recovery.
A video accompanying the message showed the actress lying on a hospital bed. Her representatives explained that she was still healing and had not fully regained her strength.
The team said Nwosu wanted to personally thank the public for the love and assistance she received when her health challenges became known.
It expressed appreciation to those who provided financial support, shared her story, sent messages and kept her in their prayers. According to the statement, the kindness shown by supporters had been important throughout the difficult experience.
The team added that the actress was taking her recovery one day at a time, while trusting God for complete healing and the strength to face the days ahead.

It also urged supporters to continue standing by her as she progresses through the healing process.
Months earlier, The Nation reported that Nwosu was battling an undisclosed illness and needed three surgeries estimated to cost N30 million.
The actress had reportedly said she found it difficult to make her condition public. However, she eventually appealed for urgent support, explaining that she needed assistance for life-saving treatment.
The latest statement did not disclose the precise nature of the complications or provide a specific date for her return to normal activities.
Nevertheless, the team’s message offered an update on her condition and renewed its appeal for public support.
Her fans and colleagues will be hoping for sustained improvement and complete recovery.
