The All Progressives Congress, APC, has debunked social media reports that it has adjusted its timetable for the 2027 primary elections.
The clarification was in a press statement on the official page of APC.
The statement says the dates announced earlier for the primary elections are not changed.
The APC said the primary election for the House of Representatives would take place on Friday, May 15, 2026 and that of the Senate would hold on Monday, May 18, 2026.
The party also disclosed that the primary election for the State House of Assembly would hold on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, while the governorship primary would be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026.
The statement indicated that the presidential primary election will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026.
The party stated that “this clarification has become necessary following the circulation of false and misleading reports on social media and other communication platforms suggesting otherwise.”
