In every democratic contest, there comes a defining moment when the ballots are counted and a decision is made. Yet, beyond victory and defeat lies something far greater — the enduring bond of family, friendship, and our shared commitment to the progress of our party and constituency.
Today, I speak with a heart full of gratitude, humility, and respect for every individual who participated in this journey. We truly competed like one family, united by our collective passion to serve our people and strengthen the ideals of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Today may simply be my turn; tomorrow may be yours. Leadership is a continuous journey, and every sincere sacrifice made in the service of humanity will always be remembered and rewarded by history.
To my dear sister, Honorable Ramotalahi Akinlola-Hassan, you fought this contest with uncommon strength, grace, resilience, and dignity — truly like the lioness that you are. Your courage throughout this process reflects the enduring legacy and noble values of our late leader and benefactor, Double Chief Akinlola. You have demonstrated admirable character, determination, and an indomitable spirit worthy of honour and respect.
To Comrade Ayodele Adewale, your unwavering courage, steadfast support, and deep commitment to the ideals we collectively cherish remain greatly appreciated and deeply admired.
To Prince Adeola Ayoola, I saw your sacrifices, your energy, and the remarkable efforts you invested throughout this journey. Your dedication speaks volumes about your love for our people and your commitment to the future of our great party.
As we move forward, I extend my hand of fellowship, reconciliation, and brotherhood to everyone who participated in this process. The true victory belongs not to an individual, but to the APC and the good people we all seek to serve.
Let us now close ranks, heal every wound, strengthen our unity, and move forward together with one vision, one purpose, and one united family.
