‘Davido Is Ungrateful To Soso, I’m Disappointed’ – Gov. Aide, Ossai Success

Media aide to Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, Ossai Ovie Success has lashed out at Nigerian singer, Davido over his failure to attend the wedding of music executive, Soso Soberekon.

Recall that over the weekend, Soso tied the knot with his lover, Princess Ebiere in a star-studded ceremony in Warri, Delta State.

However, Soso’s longtime friend and business partner Davido was not present and this caused a buzz on social media.

Reacting on his Facebook page, Success said Davido is ungrateful, adding that Soso had done much for the singer over the years.

“Soso Soberekan was the one who introduced Davido to the international community and also marketed him locally,” he said.

The governor’s aide insisted that what Davido did is a slap on Soso’s face.

He wrote, “Davido is not grateful to Soso. “I am disappointed in Davido and Chioma for not going to Soso’s wedding. The fact is, Soso Soberekon has done a lot for Davido in the past few years. Soso took Davido to the international community and even promoted him locally.

“It’s a two-way street with loyalty. And time to show it. One of the most important moments in any man’s life is his wedding. After all Soso has done, it feels like a slap in the face to miss that day.

I was hoping for more presence and gratitude. Soso showed up for Davido, Davido didn’t show up for Soso. That’s not loyalty. That’s not appreciation. Weddings are a once in a lifetime thing. You are either there for your people, or you’re not. And on this one he did not.

This isn’t about the money, the fame or the busy schedule. It’s about respecting the people who respected you when nobody was looking. Missing a wedding like that sends the wrong message: That success makes you forget the people who helped you rise up.

“I’m really disappointed that Davido wasn’t able to be there.”
