Natasha Omorodion Leaves Out 2Baba’s Surname During Edo Assembly Introduction

A member of the Edo State House of Assembly and estranged wife of Nigerian singer, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, Natasha Osawaru, has sparked reactions after introducing herself using her maiden surname, Osawaru, instead of Idibia, her husband’s surname.

In a video shared on her Instagram handle, Natasha introduced herself as “Honourable Natasha Irobosa Osawaru” while addressing the House.

She said, “Mr. Speaker, my name is Honourable Natasha Irobosa Osawaru, member representing the very great people of Egor Constituency and, by God’s grace, the minority leader of this House.”

The couple’s relationship came under scrutiny in August after Natasha made an unexpected appearance at an Abuja nightclub where the singer was scheduled to perform.

A video that circulated online appeared to show the couple engaged in a heated exchange.

Speculation about a possible rift between them intensified after Natasha was absent from 2Baba’s 51st birthday celebration in Victoria Island, Lagos.

It was attended by 2Baba’s children, his mother, Rose Idibia, and several entertainment personalities, including Kenny Ogungbe, Dayo “D1” Adeneye, Wande Coal, African China, Ayo Makun, Faze and Tony Tetuila.

Natasha’s absence further fuelled questions about the state of her marriage to the singer.

Neither Natasha nor 2Baba had publicly confirmed a separation or explained why she missed birthday celebration.
