Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has formally secured his payment receipt for the purchase of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential nomination form ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The ADC made this known through its official 𝕏 handle on Saturday.
The party said it paid for the presidential nomination form on May 8, 2026.
ADC chieftain, Atiku is one of the aspirants vying for the party’s presidential ticket for the 2027 election.
The post reads, “A New Chapter in Nigeria’s Democratic Journey:
“H.E. Atiku Abubakar, GCON, has officially received his payment receipt to contest on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the 2027 Presidential Election.
“This development is another important milestone in the growing movement for national renewal, democratic inclusion and people driven leadership within the ADC.
“As Nigerians continue to seek credible alternatives, the ADC is committed to providing a strong platform on the basis of unity, competence, economic recovery, security and national progress.
The nomination forms are expected to be formally presented on Monday at the ADC National Secretariat, Abuja.
“The movement is spreading. Hope is growing. More to come.”
It was gathered that the former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi and presidential aspirant, Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, have also obtained the form of the party.
