The official song of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, “Dai Dai”, will feature Nigerian music star Burna Boy and Colombian pop music icon Shakira.
This will be the second time in succession that a Nigerian artiste will feature in a World Cup song.
Recall that Davido was featured on the official song for the 2022 FIFA World Cup titled “Hayya Hayya (Better Together).”
Thursday, May 14 is the official release date for the song.
In her post, Shakira wrote: “Here is “Dai Dai” from Maracanã Stadium, the Official Song 2026 of the @FIFAWorldCup. Coming 5/14. We are ready! ⚽️🐺 @burnaboy
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be hosted by Canada, Mexico and the United States of America.
The contest will take place from June 11 to July 19.
