Annie Idibia Dismisses Reconciliation Claims After Viral Video With 2Face

Nollywood actress Annie Idibia has refuted widespread speculation that she has reconciled with her former husband, Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face or 2Baba.

In a resurfaced video clip that is making the rounds on social media, the former couple is seen enjoying each other’s company at a nightclub. Many users mistakenly believed the clip was recent and it fuelled rumours that Annie and 2Baba had rekindled their relationship.

While the pair publicly ended their marriage earlier this year, some social media users went as far to claim the pair were expecting a third child together.

In an effort to set the record straight, Annie responded to the growing speculation on her Instagram Story. She told us that the videos that are circulating on the internet are old and condemned the spreading of fake information about her personal life.

“Old videos everywhere, false news everywhere,” she wrote, dismissing the reports without further comment.

Annie and 2Baba who have two daughters together announced the end of their marriage in January 2025 after over a decade together. Their break-up attracted huge media attention, ending one of Nigeria’s most talked about celebrity unions.

Following the divorce, 2Baba moved on and married Edo State politician Natasha Osaworu, bringing an end to any chances of reconciliation with his former wife.

Meanwhile, Annie has been embroiled in another social media debate recently after she was called out for a comment she made on an announcement celebrating the birth of a child to celebrity fashion designer Luminee and actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha.

The actress has maintained a low profile in the face of criticism and speculation about her personal life that has repeatedly surfaced online, and only addresses misinformation she feels is necessary. Her latest statement makes it clear that reports of a reunion with 2Baba, as well as claims that they are expecting another child together, are totally false.
