American rapper and music executive Sean “Diddy” Combs has reportedly been taken to a hospital after suffering a head injury while serving his prison sentence at a federal correctional facility in New Jersey, United States.

According to TMZ, the 56-year-old was taken for medical attention on Saturday, October 10, after sustaining an injury described as non-life-threatening.

The report stated that Combs was conscious and speaking before being taken for treatment. However, the circumstances surrounding the reported incident have not been made public.

A representative for the rapper told the Los Angeles Times that his team was working to confirm what happened, adding that his health and well-being remained the immediate priority.

The representative also expressed appreciation to those who had reached out with concerns about the entertainer.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the Federal Correctional Institution Fort Dix, where Combs is serving his sentence, reportedly declined to comment on the hospital visit.

The development comes amid renewed media attention on the rapper’s incarceration and allegations concerning his treatment behind bars.

In a report published on October 2, the Los Angeles Times cited NBC News accounts involving four anonymous inmates who alleged that Combs paid fellow prisoners to prepare food and clean for him.

The report also alleged that he had access to a contraband mobile phone and an illegal supply of alcohol.

Combs’ representative criticised the scrutiny, arguing that ordinary aspects of prison life were being presented as major news stories.

The rapper is serving a 50-month federal prison sentence after a jury convicted him in July 2025 on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was acquitted of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges.

His projected release date reportedly shifted from January 21, 2028, to March 2, 2028, according to information from the Federal Bureau of Prisons’ inmate database cited by the newspaper.

Combs’ legal team has appealed both his conviction and sentence, with the appeal remaining unresolved in the latest reports.

Further details about the reported injury, its cause and the rapper’s medical condition have not been officially confirmed publicly.
