Paul Okoye, alias Rudeboy, a popular musician and half of PSquare, has called out his twin brother and former bandmate Peter Okoye, aka Mr P, and his producer for allegedly stealing a song.
Following the group’s third breakup earlier this year, Mr P released the single ‘Winning’.
Rudeboy, on the other hand, said in an Instagram post that he co-wrote and sang the song with a producer, who subsequently hijacked it and gave it to his twin brother.
He said that his brother recorded the song just as he did with the same producer.
Rudeboy complained that he had sent six songs to the so-called management and asked why they were re-singing his song word for word.
On his Instagram feed, he stated, “Song title: winning.
Rudeboy wrote and sang this song.
Produced by the same producer.
“Now, how come?” So, are I meant to release another version? Mr. Producer, your case is for another day.
“Just a basic thing: bring six songs, and I’ll bring six songs. I submitted six tracks to the so-called management. Why would I re-sing my own song? Word for word. Song that was scheduled to be on my album next year, June.”
In another Instagram story post, Rudeboy threatened to release the original version of any of his songs that were being copied.
“The era of manipulation is ended!!
And to the management, if I hear any music that only I can sing, I will release the original version.
Oloriburuku!
“Music isn’t that hard,” he wrote.
