The Bauchi State chapter of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, has endorsed former Vice President Atiku Abubakar ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The endorsement was made at a stakeholders’ meeting in Bauchi on Sunday where party leaders described Atiku as a seasoned politician with experience to tackle the economic and security challenges in the country.
The Bauchi ADC Chairman, Shu’aibu Dankama, who spoke at the gathering, said the decision was arrived at after consultations with party stakeholders who believe Atiku is still a strong figure that can lead the country.
“The endorsement is a testament of the confidence in Atiku’s leadership qualities and ability to restore hope to Nigerians in the face of rising inflation, unemployment, insecurity and hardship across the country,” he said.
He called on party members to stay united, disciplined and committed as political activities leading to the 2027 general elections continue to gain momentum.
