Isaac Fayose, younger brother to a former governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose has raised the alarm ahead of the Saturday gubernatorial election in the state, that the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC is plotting to buy votes.
In a video clip he posted on his official Facebook page on Thursday, Isaac Fayose said credible information showed that APC has concluded plans to induce voters with money.
He urged the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, to be on the alert and arrest the alleged vote buyers during the election.
The businessman bemoaned the country’s underdevelopment, blaming bad people who rig their way into power.
“Nigeria is not developing because our electoral system is faulty, he said. Popular people don’t get into power. Unpopular people get into power because they are rigged in.
“If our votes can’t put the best candidates there, it means we are in a mess. We will see on Saturday if EFCC is good or not.”
“If EFCC is on ground, they should be able to catch many vote buyers because APC is planning to buy votes. EFCC, the Nigerians are watching, you now have an office in Ekiti State;
“We have credible information that these people are planning to buy votes,” he said.
