“A Cleaner Amuwo-Odofin Is Everyone’s Responsibility”
The APC Candidate for the House of Representatives, Hon. Moses Olarewaju, on Saturday joined the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, His Excellency, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, his wife, and the Executive Chairman of Amuwo-Odofin Local Government, Prince Lanre Sanusi, for the monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise across the community.
Olarewaju actively participated in the exercise and engaged residents, community stakeholders and officials.
He described environmental sanitation as more than a routine government programme, calling it an expression of leadership by example and collective responsibility.
“For me, this was more than a sanitation exercise. It was about leadership by example and reminding ourselves that the Amuwo-Odofin we desire begins with the little things we are willing to do together.”
He expressed appreciation for participating alongside the APC House of Assembly Candidate for Amuwo-Odofin Constituency I, Hon. Folorunsho Ola Western; the Vice Chairman of Amuwo-Odofin Local Government, Hon. Ashara Maureen Chika; Dr. Omolara Sanusi; members of the administration; party leaders; environmental officers; security agencies; LAWMA personnel; and other teams involved in the exercise.
Olarewaju commended the Deputy Governor for demonstrating that effective leadership requires presence and service alongside the people. He also praised Prince Lanre Sanusi for his continued commitment to a cleaner and better Amuwo-Odofin.
“When government, communities and residents work together, we create a healthier and more beautiful constituency for everyone.”
He urged residents to take ownership of their environment, stressing that a cleaner Amuwo-Odofin depends on collective commitment and responsible citizenship.
