Nigeria and the Kingdom of Lesotho are seeking to expand bilateral relations, attract investment and strengthen economic cooperation.
The high-level diplomatic engagements, held at Nigeria House in Berlin, Germany, formed part of Nigeria’s efforts to advance its foreign policy objectives and economic interests under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Leading the Nigerian delegation, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, joined the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, for the engagements.
On the sidelines of the summit, Enikanolaiye and Nigeria’s Ambassador to Germany, Senator Ita Enang, held a bilateral meeting with Lesotho’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations, Limpho Justice Tau.
The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation across strategic sectors and exploring the establishment of a physical diplomatic presence for Lesotho in Abuja.
Tau commended Nigeria’s historic and continued role in African liberation, as well as its efforts to promote sustainable economic development across Africa and the Global South.
