Nigerian businessman and socialite, Obi Cubana, has reportedly deleted all Instagram posts associated with the City Boy Movement, a pro-President Bola Tinubu organisation.
The development follows criticism from some Nigerians over his public support for the Tinubu administration.
It was recalled that Obi Cubana had earlier been appointed as the South-East Coordinator of the City Boy Movement, a youth-driven political advocacy platform championing the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
As of the time of filing this report, the businessman had not yet issued an official statement on the removal of the posts.
Obi Cubana has recently faced criticism by some Nigerians after his association with the pro-Tinubu group.
His position in the City Boy Movement drew reactions online, especially from those who blamed his support for the current administration.
The deleted posts were reportedly related to his involvement with the movement and its activities.
His Instagram handle was checked and found devoid of any posts associated with the political movement as of filing of this report.
However, it was not clear if the deletion of the posts was an indication that Obi Cubana was quitting the group or just a personal decision to clean up his social media page.
The City Boy Movement is a platform for youth advocacy and civic engagement.
The group was formed to promote President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and galvanize grassroots support for the administration.
