TINUBU SECURES LANDSLIDE VICTORY TO EMERGE APC PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE FOR 2027
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has overwhelmingly emerged as the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 general election after recording a massive victory in the party’s nationwide direct primaries.
President Tinubu garnered an impressive 10.99 million votes to defeat his challenger, Stanley Osifo, who secured 16,504 votes in the exercise conducted across 8,809 wards nationwide.
The results were announced during the ongoing national collation at the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja.
APC Governors from 31 states, alongside senior party leaders serving as coordinators and collation officers, formally presented their respective state results before the Presidential Primary Election Committee chaired by former Senate President, Pius Anyim.
President Tinubu recorded dominant victories across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), polling overwhelming support and securing 100 percent of the votes in several states.
Although Osifo recorded modest figures in a few states, including Niger, Kano, Lagos, Abia, Oyo, Benue, and Nasarawa, the outcome clearly reflected the confidence and trust party members nationwide have in President Tinubu’s leadership and the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The resounding victory further reinforces President Tinubu’s firm grip on the APC structure and signals strong party unity ahead of the 2027 general elections.
