Following his appearance at the controversial preacher Tobi Adegboyega’s birthday celebration, Nollywood actor Yemi Solade has supported Nigerian artist David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido.
In a social media post, Ossai Ovie Success, the Delta State Governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Media, reportedly expressed anger at Pastor Adegboyega for inviting Davido to his birthday celebration.
Ossai counseled Pastor Tobi to seek God’s pardon, calling his behavior a disgrace to the gospel.
He went on to say that rather than inviting artists like Davido and KCee, the pastor ought to have invited gospel musicians.
“I’m disappointed that Pastor Tobi invited Davido to his birthday party,” he wrote. He ought to ask God for forgiveness because this is a disgrace to the gospel.
Pastor Tobi asked Davido to perform at his birthday celebration last night. However, because the party did not align with pastoral ideals, I could not sense the presence of the Holy Spirit.
Pastor Tobi Adegboyega, the founder of Salvation Proclaimers Anointed Church, embarrassed the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ with his activities, which seemed immoral.
He ought to have brought gospel musicians to serve his guests and bring souls to God’s kingdom as a pastor. Why is the Gospel always embarrassed by Pastor Tobi? Given that his behavior lacks the fruit of the Spirit, he need to think twice before claiming to be a pastor.

Yemi Solade responded by asking the governor’s assistant in a blog post’s comment section if Davido is not a divine child.
“Is David Adele not a fellow Christian and a child of God?” he wrote.
