Abisola ‘Abi’ Ayoola, a housemate in Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 11, has become the Head of House (HoH) for the second time this season.
Abi won the position after beating Gerard in the final round of Monday night’s Head of House challenge, it was reported.
The development made her the first female housemate to win the HoH title twice in the ongoing ‘Show Ya Sef’ edition of the reality TV show.
In a statement posted on their website, the organizers said Abi emerged victorious after several elimination rounds that eventually left her and Gerard to battle for the coveted position.
“For Gerard it was another close call as he came within touching distance of the HoH title once more. But in the last round, Abi kept her nerve and brought home the win,” said the organizers.
The latest HoH win also came with a major change to the privileges attached to the position.
There was no Lucky Dip to determine who would get to enter the HoH Loft, unlike the previous weeks. The organizers said the Loft is now the property of the Head of House directly.
Abi is the first HoH this season to get to enjoy the Loft privilege herself. Abi later picked Temi Nkem to join her in the HoH Loft.
The organizers also revealed that this week’s HoH will be eligible to participate in next week’s Head of House challenge.
In previous seasons, an outgoing HoH could not compete for HoH immediately.
Big Brother announced changes to the nomination process after the HoH challenge ended.
After many discussions among housemates about nominations, conspiracy and possible saves, the usual saves were canceled.
Under the new arrangement, only Abi, as Head of House, and Sheba, the Most Influential Player of the Week, are safe from possible eviction.
The other housemates are now nominated for eviction.
Meanwhile, Bells has once again emerged as the Benchwarmer as Big Brother had asked Yusuf, Bells, Ricky, Aikou, Nomy and Sheba to roll the die.
Bells rolled a one, the lowest score. Yusuf and Sheba both rolled two. Nomy threw a four and both Ricky and Aikou threw sixes.
