Nigerian music mogul Michael Collins Ajereh, commonly known as Don Jazzy, has stated that he went back to hunt for the girls who rejected him in secondary school once he became successful.
According to the musician, he was devastated by the rejection he faced in secondary school.
It was stated that the Marvin Records boss discussed his former experience during an interview on the Keeping It Real With Jima podcast.
The music producer claimed that his incident affected him psychologically, even into maturity.
He further said that after becoming successful and famous, he went back to hunt for the girls in a bid to overcome the psychological trauma.
“I wasn’t good-looking during my secondary school days. Thank God for music because back then I was always getting rejected by girls. But after I became successful, I went back to hunt for all the girls who rejected me. But practically all of them were already married,” he revealed.
Meanwhile, Don Jazzy has suggested he would extend his hunt for a life spouse outside Nigeria, with East African countries now on his mind.
It was alleged that the Mavin Records boss, who leads Mavin Records, made the statement during a lighthearted engagement with fans on Instagram.
A admirer had praised him as a “African treasure” who belongs to the whole continent, not just Nigerians. In answer, he concurred in a cheerful mood and stated he often has a great connection with several African countries, including Ghana, South Africa, and Uganda, even though he has never visited Uganda.
He went on to joke about love and marriage, stating that if he does not find a wife in Nigeria, he may consider Uganda or Tanzania.
He also said that he had heard nice things about women from such countries.
“Sometimes, I feel like I’m Ghanaian, sometimes South African. Sometimes I feel like I’m Ugandan, even though I haven’t been to Uganda, and I know it’s hot there,” he said.
“I heard that the babes there are nice. If you are from Uganda and you are a darling, do you females like me there? Maybe I should come to Uganda since I did not find a wife in Nigeria. Maybe I should travel and find a wife in Uganda or Tanzania.”
