Ilebaye Odiniya, the winner of BBNaija Season 8, and her father, Hon. Godson Odiniya, have discussed the cause of their argument.
In an audio clip that journalist Jeremiah Promise Enemona Ocheme posted on social media on Sunday, Odiniya revealed that he asked his daughter for financial assistance before to a scheduled medical trip to Dubai, but she turned him down.
He said that she had rejected his request for a short-term loan because the anticipated funds had not yet come.
“The most recent one that I was not happy about was when I was supposed to go for a medical check-up in Dubai,” he stated. I told my daughter, “Please lend me a certain amount of money; the money I’m expecting hasn’t arrived. I’m lacking resources.” I was informed by my daughter that she is broke.
“Come see how my daughter was spraying bundles of money at the wedding of one of her coworkers, who they call Cross, a week prior to that.”
“That’s not the issue,” he continued. My daughter helping her coworkers will make me pleased, but what about your father? Is there anything wrong with you helping your father?
According to reports, this happened after Odiniya was arrested for allegedly assaulting his daughter at their home in Royal Anchor Estate, Wuye, Abuja.
A viral video of Ilebaye crying and clearly swollen during the fight went viral on the internet on Saturday, drawing a lot of attention to the incident.
