Radiogad: Davido unfollowed me after criticising Gov Adeleke

Content creator Radiogad has alleged that Nigerian singer Davido unfollowed him on social media after he failed to respond to a private message requesting the removal of videos criticising the singer’s uncle.

Radiogad made the revelation in a video in which he described his purported interaction with the music star and explained why he would not stop commenting on issues affecting Nigerians.

He claimed that he had released two videos expressing dissatisfaction with the country’s situation and criticising Davido’s uncle.

According to the content creator, Davido subsequently contacted him through direct messages and allegedly asked him to take down the videos.

Radiogad said he ignored the purported request, insisting that his position was based on his concerns about the country rather than political interests or personal grievances.

“Davido quickly entered my DM. He wanted me to bring down that video, but I did not reply him. I always stand for the truth,” he said.

He also claimed to have made a screen recording of the alleged message to document the exchange.

Radiogad explained that he wanted to retain evidence because he anticipated that people might question the authenticity of the communication or suggest that it had been generated using artificial intelligence.

The content creator further alleged that Davido unfollowed him after he declined to respond.

Reacting to the reported development, Radiogad maintained that he was not concerned about losing a social media connection with the singer.

He insisted that his willingness to speak about Nigeria’s problems would not depend on the approval of celebrities or other influential figures.

“Whether you are following me or you are not following me, I will keep standing for the truth,” he stated.

Radiogad also questioned why he should remain silent about the country’s challenges, referencing his decision to live in the United Kingdom.

“If Nigeria good, wetin I dey do for UK? If Nigeria dey work, wetin I go do here?” he added.

He concluded by reaffirming his commitment to using his platform to discuss public affairs and criticise public figures where he believes it is necessary.
