Seun Oloketuyi, the CEO of Best of Nollywood (BON), has mourned gospel singer Toluwanisings, sharing an account of how the musician reportedly died after collapsing on a staircase.
Toluwanisings, born Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, was reportedly rushed to different hospitals after he slumped, but he was allegedly turned away by two medical facilities before the third hospital pronounced him dead.
Oloketuyi made the disclosure in a tribute on his Instagram page, describing the circumstances as heartbreaking.
According to the BON chief, the singer’s rescuers moved from one hospital to another in search of medical attention.
“How Toluwasings died. DEATH SHAME ON YOU: You slumped on the stairs, and they began rushing you from one hospital to another,” he wrote.
He said the first and second hospitals reportedly rejected the singer, adding that the third facility declared him dead upon arrival.
Oloketuyi expressed disbelief over the loss of a gospel artiste whose music had previously blessed and encouraged listeners. He also prayed for the singer’s soul to rest in peace.
The report comes after COPA convener Pelumi Olajengbesi announced Toluwanisings’ death in an Instagram post on Wednesday, prompting reactions from supporters and public figures.
The singer’s family subsequently confirmed the death in a statement published on his Instagram page after conflicting reports created uncertainty.
Oloketuyi’s account has drawn attention to the reported circumstances surrounding the singer’s final moments. However, further independent details about the incident and the medical facilities involved were not provided in the account.
The gospel music community continues to mourn the reported loss of the singer, whose recordings are expected to remain part of his musical legacy.
