Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has recounted the emotional ordeal she experienced after losing a pregnancy at four months.
Abraham spoke about the experience at the Bestie Jesu Concert 2026 in Lagos, revealing that the pregnancy loss happened while she was working on a film.
The actress said the incident left her emotionally overwhelmed, particularly because she was still expected to continue with her professional responsibilities.
“I was four month pregnant, but I lost it. But guess what, I was filming, so I was down,” Abraham said.
She explained that her first concern was how to break the news to her family. According to her, she hesitated to call her parents because she was worried about her mother’s reaction.
“I didn’t want to call my parents; you know how it is that you don’t want to… my parents, my mom is old, and I didn’t want to call my mom,” she said.

Abraham said she eventually contacted her husband, actor Kola Ajeyemi. However, he was away from her location, leaving her to seek support elsewhere.
She subsequently called Pastor Bolaji Idowu, who she said immediately prayed for her and asked about her situation.
“I just called Pastor Bolaji. He just started praying for me, and he said, ‘Where are you?’ I said, ‘I’m on my way to the hospital,’” she recalled.
The actress said the pastor also wanted to know what medical procedure she would undergo.
“He said, ‘What’s going to happen?’ I said, ‘They want to do an evacuation,’” Abraham explained.
She further revealed that Pastor Bolaji provided financial assistance after learning about the medical procedure.
“And Pastor Bolaji sent me millions,” she said.
Abraham expressed appreciation to the pastor for his prayers and financial support during what she described as a challenging period.
“Thank you so much, Pastor Bolaji. God bless you,” she added.
The disclosure comes years after Abraham first spoke publicly about experiencing a pregnancy loss. In 2022, the actress told Channels Television that she had lost a pregnancy and cried extensively because she wanted to have more children.
She had said at the time that she hoped to have one or two more children before completing her family.
Abraham currently has a son and a stepdaughter with her husband, Kola Ajeyemi. She has also spoken on previous occasions about her desire to have more children.
Her latest account provides further insight into a difficult chapter of her personal life and the support she received while dealing with the loss.
