Yul Edochie Talks About Father-Daughter Relationship, Says She May Not Understand Him

Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has denied the speculations about his relationship with his first daughter, Danielle.

It was reported that Danielle had removed her father’s name from her social media handles which had led to speculations that the youngster had a rocky relationship with her father.

The actor was previously slammed online after social media users accused him of ignoring Danielle’s graduation while posting about his children with his second wife, Judy Austin.

But the actor, who spoke on the Honest Bunch Podcast, said he has a close relationship with his first daughter who is 21.

“I don’t expect her to understand me fully at her age,” he said, adding he too struggled to understand his own father when he was younger.

“It is natural for children to be closer to the mother’s side,” he said, calling it a normal state of affairs.

He said: “We’re very close. She’s only twenty-one, I don’t expect her to understand me. At twenty-one, I was a mystery to my father. There will be a leaning toward her mother; it’s a normal thing.”

The interview created a stir on the internet with many fans criticising the actor. Some said his daughter could still have problems as a result of his relationship with her mother.
