Nollywood actress Anita Joseph has spoken about her views on marriage following her separation from estranged husband Fisayo Olagunju, popularly known as MC Fish, insisting that the institution remains beautiful despite her personal experience.

Anita made the statement in a viral online video featuring her colleagues, Sarah Martins and Eriata Ese, who asked her questions about the breakdown of her marriage.

The actress explained that she had not become an opponent of marriage and maintained that the romantic displays people witnessed during her relationship with MC Fish reflected her understanding of love.

She recalled that some social media users had complained about her frequent posts showing affectionate moments between herself and her former partner.

According to Anita, marriage involves demonstrating love, caring for one’s spouse and being willing to make sacrifices for the relationship.

She argued that people who love each other naturally want to go out of their way to make their partners happy.

During the discussion, Sarah Martins brought up an instance in which MC Fish reportedly cleaned Anita’s leg while they were married.

The conversation prompted Anita to declare that she would no longer share pictures or videos of a man on her social media pages.

She humorously warned her friends that they should take her phone away or bring her to church if she ever began posting another romantic partner online.

“I didn’t say don’t get married, o; some people say, Anita, you stress us with that your marriage. That’s what marriage and love are all about. When you love somebody, you want to go all out for them,” she said.

Her remarks have generated interest among fans, particularly because they come after the end of her relationship with MC Fish.

The former couple’s separation has also been accompanied by public discussion about their finances.

MC Fish recently alleged that he borrowed money and entered into various financial agreements to maintain the lifestyle associated with their marriage. He also disputed claims that Anita had supported him financially throughout their relationship.

He reportedly claimed that the expenses placed considerable pressure on his finances and made further allegations about Anita’s lifestyle after their separation.

These statements remain allegations attributed to MC Fish and have not been independently established by the information provided.

While the circumstances surrounding their breakup continue to attract attention, Anita’s latest comments suggest that she has not abandoned her belief in marriage.

Her decision to avoid public displays of future relationships may also signal a desire to maintain greater privacy in her personal life.
