Nigerian singer, Emoseh Khamofu better known as Bloody Civilian has said that being an artiste has changed her world view and altered her perceptions on some of the core values of the environment and family she grew up with.
In a recent episode of the Not Just On podcast, the Taraba-born star said some of the traditional values that her family expects from her are no longer interesting to her.
Bloody Civilian has stated that she has no plan of getting married contrary to the expectations of her family.
The 26-year-old said her family keeps pressurizing her for marriage without realizing that it’s not something she’s looking forward to.
She said, “One thing my family still doesn’t understand about being an artiste is the fact that certain conventional things they expect of a woman from the North are simply not things I am excited to do.
“Like marriage, that’s not even in my head. But that question always arises.
